Karen Michaeli

Hello my name is Karen Michaeli and I am a First Grade Teacher here at Haynes Elementary. I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri were my 6 siblings and parents still reside. Hobbies I enjoy are wood burning, spending time with family (3 daughters and 2 granddaughters), and traveling. An interesting fact that many people do not know about me is that I love canoeing and still use the canoe my dad taught me on. When my husband was stationed at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas I received my Bachelors in Applied Studies and my Teaching Certificate with a specialization in Reading from Abilene Christian University. I continued my education to get a Masters in Reading and Gifted Education from Hardin Simmons University also located in Abilene, Texas.
