I am thrilled to join the Cedar Valley Elementary family as your new Assistant Principal! Originally from Houston, Texas, I made my way to Killeen through military life and quickly found a home in this wonderful community.

I am a proud alumna of Texas A&M University–Central Texas, where I earned both my Bachelor’s degree (2012) and Master’s degree in Education. I began my career at Brookhaven Elementary, where I spent nearly a decade serving as both a classroom teacher and Special Education teacher. My passion for instructional leadership led me to roles as a District Instructional Coach and Campus Instructional Specialist at Killeen Elementary .

This past year, I returned to the classroom to continue refining my instructional practices and reconnect with the day-to-day experiences of students and teachers. It was an incredibly rewarding time that reaffirmed my commitment to student-centered leadership.

I’ve been happily married to my husband, Eric, for 13 years, and we have three amazing children. Our oldest will be heading off to the University of Michigan this fall, and our two daughters will be joining me right here at Cedar Valley Elementary!

I am excited and honored to support our students, staff, and families. I believe that building strong relationships and fostering a love for learning are the keys to student success. As Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I look forward to working together to create an environment where every child can thrive.
