Dr. Wendy Haider
Master Principal
for Elementary SchoolsDr. Haider - Master Principal: With 28 years of dedicated service in Killeen ISD, Dr. Haider currently leads Nolanville Elementary School with a commitment to excellence and a passion for student success. As an educator, she strives to create meaningful and challenging learning experiences that empower students to reach their academic and personal goals. Dr. Haider is focused on fostering a growth mindset, equipping students with critical 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration.
With a strong belief in the power of community, she actively engages parents, staff, and volunteers to create a supportive and enriching environment where every child can thrive. Under her leadership, the campus continues to be a place where students are inspired to excel and achieve their fullest potential.

Dr. Julie Sims
Master Principal
for Elementary SchoolsDr. Julie Sims - Master Principal: Dr. Julie Sims brings over 27 years of educational experience and over 15 years of campus leadership to her role as Principal of Meadows Elementary.
Since joining Killeen ISD in 2021, Dr. Sims has been dedicated to implementing student-driven instructional practices that have consistently led to increased academic achievement. With a rich background in Midland and Lubbock ISDs, she is committed to creating a welcoming environment at Meadows Elementary that is filled with opportunities for the Roadrunner community.
Dr. Sims holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University and continues to lead with a passion for nurturing student success.

Dr. Paula Lawrason
Master Principal
for Middle SchoolsDr. Lawrason - Master Principal: With 27 years of experience in Killeen ISD, Dr. Lawrason leads Union Grove Middle School with a commitment to lifelong learning and a passion for student success.
Originally from Lincoln, NE, she has dedicated her career to Killeen, serving in roles such as classroom teacher, special education coordinator, assistant principal, curriculum director, and Director for Special Education.
Dr. Lawrason believes in challenging students daily and fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders to create a dynamic learning environment. Her leadership at Union Grove focuses on empowering students to thrive as successful, adaptable members of society.

Dr. Kara Trevino
Master Principal
for High SchoolsDr. Kara Trevino - Master Principal: Dr. Kara Trevino is a proud Killeen native and dedicated leader at Killeen High School, where she began her teaching and coaching career in 2001. With deep roots in the community, Dr. Trevino is passionate about serving students and families in her hometown.
She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Doctor of Education from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, as well as a Master of Education from Tarleton State University-Central Texas.
Dr. Trevino embodies the values of integrity, relationships, and collaboration, fostering a family atmosphere at Killeen High School where success and school pride thrive. Her commitment to education is driven by a lifelong passion to support and inspire the next generation of learners.
