Our school supports 100% ID card check. There are no exceptions. Students may only be signed out to their parents/guardians or their designees. Designees must be authorized by the parent/guardian and listed on the student emergency card in the office.
The parking lot is closed from 2:45 – 3:15PM with the exception of those vehicles displaying a valid, government-issued handicap-parking permit.
Students are allowed to walk home with the following guidelines if there is a note on file authorizing this method:
Fort Hood Regulation 210-48
- Parents are accountable for the conduct of their minor children. Unsupervised children are subject to at-risk behavior to include: victimization, early sexual activity, substance abuse, vandalism/petty crimes. Parents are liable for damages caused by the negligent or unlawful conduct of their children.
- While walking to and from school, children in grades pre-kindergarten through 1st grade must have direct supervision (line of sight) by a(n):
- Adult

Friendly Reminders
-
- Please remember that after the tardy bell rings, you will need to come to the front office to sign your student in.
- Also, remember to bring an ID card when you sign your student out for the day and at dismissal. This is also for anyone you have authorized to pick your student up from school.
- If your student is a bus rider, please remind them about bus safety and behavior on the bus. Bus safety is a priority and riding the bus is a privilege.
- School releases promptly at 3:00 p.m. Please ensure you are here on time to retrieve your student.
- Please do not park in the bus or fire lanes. This is a safety hazard and citations will be given. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.
As always, the staff here at Venable Village Elementary School appreciates all you do!
