Ms. Monique Turner

I am Monique Turner, the Social Emotional Learning Specialist, at Gateway High School.  It is with great pleasure to have the opportunity to be of service to the GHS students, parents, and staff this year.

 This is my 12^th year in education, and my 10^th year as a Professional School Counselor. I graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelors in Psychology minoring in Child and Family Development, and from Texas A&M University-Central Texas with a Masters in Counseling. I am excited to help students and to be a support to parents and other staff of the awesome Phoenix family!

 My passion is to help make a difference in children's lives in any way I can. I believe my strong skills in building healthy, supportive relationships are very beneficial in working with children every day, and making sure they are successful in and outside of school.
