Mrs. Dianna Armstrong

So nice to meet you!

I am thrilled to be working with KISD serving families, students, and staff within Special Programs at Early College High School! This is my nineteenth year in education, and it has been a broad and varied career indeed. Growing up in nearby Lampasas, I earned BBAs in both General Business and Office Administration from Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas. I spent several years in the investment banking industry to eventually own retail and insurance businesses as well. After having children, education became of significant importance to me. It was not too long until I was actively involved at my children’s campuses, finding myself volunteering and substituting to help in any way possible. Discovering a love for working with children, I obtained my teaching certification to eventually gain a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M University – Central Texas, Killeen. Not only have I taught all subjects in the general education classroom, but I have also been a teacher of special education, gifted & talented, and GED students; interventionist; dyslexia specialist; district curriculum specialist; campus facilitator of special programs; and an assistant principal in districts large and small from Fort Worth to Freeport, Texas and a few in-between. Fortunately, I am happy to have found my way back home to Central Texas and Killeen ISD.

While I have served as an educator at all levels from elementary through high school, serving Special Populations gives me such pride and joy! I look forward to working with all students and their families in developing students’ dreams as they navigate closer each day toward their goals. If I can help you or someone you know, please call me!
